CGIA 215: Digital Imaging Essentials
Instructor: Alex Mateesco: amateesco@eciad.ca
This course is an introduction to digital imaging applications with a focus on Adobe's Creative Suite software package including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat. As well, students gain a working understanding of various computer environments including local networks, file management, image manipulation, text design, scanning, printing, and other digital input and output techniques. Through demonstrations, in-class assignments, projects and critiques students explore the relationship between the digital environment, photography, text and print as it applies to art and design practice.
